The “selfie” is here to stay. Instagram, Snapchat, and other forms of social media continue to grow in popularity in 2018. The creators of these apps use updates and new features to keep users interested. Because these outlets mainly involve posting photographs, the quest for the perfect “no filter” selfie lives on. Many individuals, men and women, turn to cosmetic treatments and procedures to enhance their features. An attractive selfie may not be the main reason people choose to undergo plastic surgery or medical spa treatments, but it is an added bonus.
Injectables are continuing their upward trend. Injectables, like dermal fillers and BOTOX, are no longer reserved for A-list celebrities like the Kardashians. Young professionals and grandmothers alike are rushing to their nearest provider for treatment—and for good reason.
